Innovation requires collaboration, so how to ensure virtual work is not killing it?

First of all, virtual teams need a place to share, it can be a wiki, a box or a social network.

It’s important that the team members are brought together at least weekly thru phone or virtual conferences to discuss the challenges they are facing.

But, most important then talk about the problems, individuals need to be encouraged to find solutions.

This encouragement can come from management, but also from other peers, as it’s essencial that these teams build trust and share leadership to innovate. Diversity is also important when searching for new ideas. 

The first step is to begin small, finding ways to improve day-to-day activities, breaking solutions complexity in small tasks.
